Astros Opening Day 2019 Block Party

Friday, April 5-Sunday April 7

 

Join Lucky’s Pub and Lucky’s Lodge for the 3-day event in honor of the Astros and Opening Day. Lucky’s is bringing back the Jumbotron to show the game and offers free koozies for the first 500 people. The Burger Joint, Happy Endings, and Sticky’s Chicken food trucks will be available all three days. All day drink specials and a live DJ round out the scene.

Check out Houston’s only fully improvised musical the first Friday of every month. Everything is made up on the spot, and the storyline, music and choreography is all inspired by the name of the musical, which is provided by you!

The theme for this all-ages event from not-for-profit storytelling organization, The Moth, is BAMBOOZLED. Storytellers will prepare a five-minute story about “your greatest con, your Tom Sawyer moment, or the day gullibility got the best of you. That time when you managed to pull the wool over someone’s eyes…or that moment you became the mark. Hoodwinker or the hornswoggled. Scammer or the snookered. Did you get them all to paint the fence or unwittingly show up with your brushes?”
