Tiny Champions Is Staffing Up For Their Restaurant Debut in EaDo
The team behind Nancy’s Hustle is preparing to open a second restaurant in EaDo called Tiny Champions. The new restaurant, located at 2716 McKinney Street, will serve pizza and pasta with a focus on natural fermentation, including naturally leavened pizza dough and a variety of pickled and preserved vegetables. EaDo’s Rodeo Goat Honors Local Champion Mayra Moreno with a Limited Edition Burger
Rodeo Goat, the popular EaDo spot for specialty burgers, recently added a new item to the menu to honor local TV news anchor and reporter Mayra Moreno of ABC 13: The “Mayra” burger. Mayra helped create the burger using some of her favorite flavors and ingredients: Candied Jalapeños, Smoked Ham, Pepper Jack Cheese, Jalapeño, Bacon, Pico de Gallo, and Poblano Dressing, all on a Jalapeño-Cheddar Bun with Avocado Butter.
Local Houston Artists Responsible For Several Murals Around EaDo Featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show
Last week, Kelly Clarkson gave praise to son and mother street artist duo Alex and Sylvia—better known as Donkeeboy and Donkeemom—for their recent mural in honor of George Floyd. The mural is located in the Houston neighborhood where George grew up. Watch Kelly’s virtual interview with the two artists to hear about their incredible journey.
Bayan Residential Buys EaDo Apartment Complex Near BBVA Stadium
Bayan Residential, an LA-based real estate development firm, purchased the Lofts at the Ballpark, a multifamily development next to BBVA Stadium. At the moment, Banyan has made no plans to do any significant renovations to the 375-unit living complex.

8th Wonder Brewery announced they will be offering limited King of the South pint glass + Brewston six pack combo this Saturday, June 27th to celebrate the legendary DJ Screw. You can swing by this weekend or pre-order online here for pickup. Their hours are currently Monday through Saturday, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Warehouse Live will continue hosting events throughout 2020, including a David De La Garza’s Santana Tribute on August 14th. Tickets to the show are free and available on their website, where you can also check out upcoming shows. Note: Face masks are required to attend all events.
District 7 in EaDo is back with a few updates to hours and services, including catering. Lunch and dinner is available via dine-in or takeout Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Weekend brunch is available from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. To place a catering order, call 713-225-4950 or contact the restaurant here. Café TH has decided to pause its dine-in service and return to take-out only. Hours of operation are Monday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Thursday through Friday from 7 a.m to 6 p.m. Every week they have new dinner specials, so be sure to check out Café TH’s Instagram page regularly.
