If it’s spring in Houston, it’s time to don an orange jersey and come out for soccer season at BBVA Compass Stadium. You can cheer on the men’s MLS Dynamo team starting opening day, Saturday, March 3. Though the women’s NWSL Dash team hasn’t released the schedule for their 2019 season, games usually start in late March or early April.
One of the best things about BBVA Compass Stadium is its size. At a little over 20,000 seats, there’s no bad place to view a game.
How to support Dynamo and Dash:
Tickets are available on the Dynamo website.
If you’re a super fan, you may want to consider a Dynamo 365 Membership, which nets you seats to 17 regular season games and the BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup, in addition to other perks.
If that’s not enough, consider joining the Texian Army, the oldest and largest independent supporters group for The Dynamo. You can count on them to keep the energy level up—and the drums beating—for the duration of the game.
Getting to the game:
Ample paid parking lots are located under Interstate 59 and directly east of the highway. Parking lots adjacent to the stadium include a festive tailgating crowd. You can mingle with fans there, or at some of the popular local watering holes, such as Lucky’s Pub on St Emanuel or Pitch 25 Beer Park, owned by retired Dynamo star Brian Ching.
