Some of the world’s best athletes play for the Houston Dash, and four of them were just named to Canada’s Women’s National Team. According to the Canadian Soccer Association, defenders Lindsay Agnew, Allysha Chapman, Sophie Schmidt and forward Nichelle Prince will play in a friendly game against England on April 5.
When these Dash players aren’t on the field in Houston, they’re making history for their home country. In early March, Sophie Schmidt scored Canada’s first penalty kick in a shootout against Sweden to help lead the team to a bronze medal in the 2019 Algarve Cup in Portugal.
Luckily, the friendly won’t interfere with the regular Dash season, as all four players will return to Houston prior to the home opener at 5 p.m. on April 14 at BBVA Compass Stadium.
Tickets for the match are on sale and start at $15. For tickets and additional information, visit HoustonDashSoccer.com/tickets.
