Our weekly digest spotlights local news and EaDo-related events to keep you in the loop when it comes to the best neighborhood In the Loop. Catch it every week to stay informed.
Happening this week: the Dumpling Dudez are temporarily dropping classes to sell dumplings by the dozen, the EaDo Veterinary Clinic has changed hours and appointment procedures, and the stay-at-home order for Houston has been extended until April 30th.
Dudez Offer Dumplings By The Dozens
Mike and Chih of the Dumpling Dudez have adapted their business model. They’re not currently offering classes, but they are selling their delicious dumplings. You can pre-order some bite-size bursts of perfection here. Pickups are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays.
The clinic will keep normal business hours Monday through Friday, but will be closed on Saturdays until further notice. Appointments now include strict drop-off guidelines to ensure the health and safety of the medical staff. Telemedicine appointments are also being offered. You can learn more by reading their latest Facebook update.
Continue Staying At Home, Houston
Judge Lina Hidalgo extended the “Stay Home, Work Safe” order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. All non-essential workers are being asked to stay at home until April 30th. Essential businesses, like grocery stores, remain open. You can continue supporting EaDo restaurants by ordering carryout, delivery or curbside pickup.
Though everyone is encouraged to stay home, local EaDo restaurants are providing curbside services and delivery for hungry residents. Supporting these local gems now means having great spots to frequent when sheltering in place is officially over (and gets you delicious food in the process).
