Happening this week: Lucky’s Pub makes the list as a top place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, the CultureMap’s Tastemaker Awards finalists feature an EaDo bar, and five Houston chefs are named nominees for the 2020 James Beard ‘Best Chef Texas’ award.
KPRC recently named Lucky’s Pub one of the top seven venues in Houston to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The pub’s celebrations last for five days, and starting on Friday, March 13th, you’ll be able to enjoy green beer, crawfish, bands and more through the 13th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival on Tuesday, which will be co-sponsored by 94.5 The Buzz.
Houston boasted five entries for the James Beard Award ‘Best Chef Texas’ semi-finals, and that includes EaDo’s own Jason Vaughan of Nancy’s Hustle. Finalists for the coveted award will be announced on March 25th in Philadelphia, and the awards ceremony takes place on May 3rd in Chicago. We’re wishing the best of luck to Jason!
Miss Carousel is competing against 13 other bars for Houston CultureMap’s Tastemaker Award for Bar of the Year. Their stylish mid-century modern aesthetic and extensive cocktail menu are just two reasons for the nomination. Bar of the Year will be announced on April 2nd at the Tastemaker Awards party. Tickets are available here.
