Governor Abbott reopens Texas

Governor Greg Abbott’s first phase to reopen the state has begun. In this first phase all retail stores, restaurants, movie theaters and malls are allowed to open at 25% capacity. The state will then evaluate results and determine whether or not to initiate phase 2, which will allow businesses to open at 50% later in May.

 

New wine bar set to open this summer

EaDo will be home to Roots, a new wine bar opening this summer. Roots plans to offer a rotating diverse menu tailored to their wine selection. Executive chef and general manager JD Fouché is “planning to create a menu that’s grounded in Gulf Coast cuisine and made with locally-grown, seasonally available products,” according to Culturemap.

Rodeo Goat

The G.O.A.T. of burgers opens today, Friday, May 1st at 25% capacity and with a limited menu. Be sure to follow their page for the latest updates on special takeout deals, like their Happy Hour burger deal for $10 that includes your choice of fries or a beer.  

 

Lucky’s Pub

Celebrating their reopening, Lucky’s Pub will be giving away goodies for their Old School Fridays event. The event goes from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at limited capacity with $2 select canned beers, $3 wine coolers and a $50 gift card prize for the most creative masks.

 

8th Wonder Brewery

8th Wonder Brewery is NOT opening just yet, but they have released a Michelada mix that you’ll want to add to your at-home drinking options this weekend. The kit includes a regular or mango house-made Michelada mix as well as your choice of Haterade 12-oz 6-packs or Dome Faux’m 16-oz 6-packs. Visit their website to place your order.

 

Bovine & Barley
