Magpies & Peacocks, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit design house located at 908 Live Oak Street. They’re dedicated to raising local artists to their fullest potential by collaborating, creating, educating and investing in the Houston area. By bringing donors, local businesses, educators and artists together they create a pathway for emerging artists and also raise awareness to charities around the community.
On July 30 they’ll be hosting Phlock To The Flame: The M&Ps Phlock HH + Candle Making Class at Manready, located at 321 West 19th Street from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will include a candle making class to create your own unique scent, shopping at the Manready general goods store, and a raffle to win Instagram worthy up-cycled luxury products that include some exclusive Magpies & Peacocks goodies.
Complimentary old fashioneds and ginger sugar rimmed vodka sodas will be provided, crafted by cocktail master Three Lumps of Sugar. You won’t want to drink on an empty stomach, so they’ve made sure to have some favorite Houston restaurants on hand. They’ll have Mighty Meat and Veg-Out pizza slices from Mellow Mushroom and Tacos A Go Go chips and salsa, making this an eventful night you don’t won’t want to miss.
