Ring in the New Year in EaDo
2024 is almost here, and we look forward to making next year the best yet for the East Downtown Management District.
Fortunately, we are already off to a great start, thanks to our TIRZ 15 Mobility Plan. The plan establishes a future-looking vision and strategy to guide the neighborhood’s mobility investments for the next decade. This month, we also received multiple awards recognizing our efforts to promote the contents of the plan to the public. If you haven’t already seen what the future holds for EaDo, we invite you to check it out.
For your more immediate plans, consider getting an early start to your New Year’s Eve celebration with the 2:30 p.m. Champagne Rehearsal at Leeland House, complete with mock ball drop.
J-Bar-M plans to wrap up the partying well before midnight, too, with a whole hog cookout that begins at 11 a.m. and lasts until the pig is gone. Guests will be treated to live music and cold beer with their meal.
For a more traditional experience, you can take your pick from a plethora of EaDo options.
True Anomaly is hosting an exclusive, ticketed event featuring an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, dancing, and, of course, a countdown to the champagne toast.
A Premium open bar will also be available at NOTO, while Scott Summers and DJ Kirby will keep the energy high at Mala Vida as the countdown to 2024 approaches. At the same time, an Artistic Odyssey awaits revelers at Chapman & Kirby, and the rooftop party at Sunset Houston will culminate in an incredible 30-foot ball drop.
Sunday is certainly not the only day worth venturing out, though. Houston Rockets home games against the 76ers on Friday and Pistons on Monday, plus college football bowl games, make it a great time to stop by sports fans’ favorite hotspots like Little Woodrow’s EaDo and Pitch 25.
But remember, watching athletes on a big screen won’t help you keep your New Year’s resolution nearly as well as this 2024 fitness membership deal from Facet Seven. And even when you’re not in the gym, you can stay active in EaDo by walking/running along the Columbia Tap Trail and checking out the new fitness equipment we installed.
Happy New Year from all of us in EaDo. We’ll see you again in 2024!
