Houston BCycle is a bike sharing service aiming to #KeepHoustonRolling. Ideal for short trips between 30 and 60 minutes, cyclers 18 and older are invited to start and end their ride at any BCycle station throughout the city. With a network of on-demand bicycle stations throughout multiple neighborhoods in downtown and surrounding areas, Houston BCycle provides an easy, fast way to navigate the city core.
The BCycle station located at the corner of Rusk and St. Emanuel streets offers riders an opportunity to cruise the Columbia Tap Trail (link to previous post), ride to the next Dynamo game, or just see the neighborhood sights on two wheels.
How to Rent a Ride
If you’re a casual rider looking for a one-time trip, you can walk up to any BCycle kiosk with your credit or debit card and rent a bike for $3/half hour. Note that BCycle stations do not currently accept cash payment or provide helmets.
Alternatively, for commuters and frequent riders, a monthly membership of $9/month gets you access to unlimited 60-minute rides. There’s also a student discount rate of $5/month.
Grab a bike at the BCycle station located at the corner of Rusk and St. Emanuel Street and ride!
