In the first meeting of 2019 for EaDo Management District, board members and City Council Member Robert Gallegos bid a fond farewell for departing Executive Director Anton Sinkewich. As a testament to Sinkewich’s service to the city and the neighborhood, Council Member Gallegos presented him with a plaque honoring his accomplishments.
During his tenure, Sinkewich worked to maintain EaDo’s history and character by working with developers to revitalize, rather than eliminate, characteristics that defined the neighborhood as a distinctive place in Houston. This work led to a Civic Vision Award in 2018, presented by the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
The board is currently working diligently to find the right person
to step in and serve as a new Executive Director. Updates will be posted when a new hire is announced.
