Often called the world’s most popular sport, soccer is a game that brings people together.

That inclusivity will be on display for Houston’s professional men and women’s soccer teams in June, as the Dynamo and Dash officially celebrate the club’s first Soccer For All Month.

According to the club, “Soccer For All, simply put, means that everyone is welcome at Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash matches. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, what you look like, who you worship, how you vote or who you love – we all love the game.

To celebrate Soccer For All, the club plans to showcase stories of how the game unites people on its social media platforms. Dynamo and Dash players will also spend the month visiting youth organizations and community groups in Houston, and two special games bring the month into full focus, at the beginning and end of June.

The month will kick off with the Dynamo’s Soccer For All Night on Saturday, June 1, in a match against Sporting Kansas City.

Highlights for the evening include:

  • Prior to the match, players’ will wear rainbow-themed shirts. These will later be auctioned by Dynamo Charities, presented by the Halliburton Charitable Foundation, via the DashAPP online auction platform.
  • The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited-edition bobblehead featuring star Colombian striker Mauro Manotas, to celebrate the fact that more than 40 percent of Houstonians were born elsewhere.
  • A partnership with Autism Speaks Houston brings several families with members on the autism spectrum to the match. The BBVA stadium’s new TCHP Family Suite was designed and installed in cooperation with KultureCity, the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to fight for inclusion and acceptance of all individuals.
  • The club will honor the Dynamo Unified Special Olympics Team and the soccer team from reVision Houston, a squad made up predominantly of refugees from all over the world, in addition to the Houston Fireballs wheelchair soccer team.

Soccer For All Month will close out with Pride Night on June 29, as the Dash host the Portland Thorns.

Highlights for the evening include:

  • A limited edition Dash Pride t-shirt for fans in attendance.
  • Dash players will wear special rainbow-colored numbers on their jerseys during the game, and several game-worn jerseys will be auctioned by Dynamo Charities via DashAPP. Rainbow-colored corner flags and other visual elements will be prominently featured that night as well.
